What's included in the monthly cost?
If you lease, everything: the robot, delivery and installation, the Self Platform subscription, all servicing and maintenance, software updates, 24/7 technical support and monitoring, staff training, your launch kit, and the member booking and payment tools. There's no upfront capital cost — it's one all-inclusive monthly cost per unit.
Can I buy the unit outright instead of leasing?
Yes. You can purchase the unit and own it as a capital asset — from around €65,000 per unit, with better per-unit pricing at volume. Delivery, installation and training are included, and you're welcome to finance it through your own lender (we can help source one). Whichever way you acquire Self, the Self Platform subscription keeps it running.
What is the Self Platform subscription, and is it required after I buy?
The Self Platform is the cloud, software, support and ongoing R&D behind every unit — booking and payments, premium 24/7 remote support, monitoring & reporting, and a steady stream of new massage modalities plus a recovery AI that gets smarter at every body, every session. It's included in the lease; if you buy outright it's a separate subscription of €400 per unit per month. A live unit always runs on the platform, so it's required on both paths — it's what keeps Self earning, and improving, rather than sitting idle.
Do you set what members pay?
No — you do. Many clubs charge around €35/month as a membership add-on or €15 per 15-minute session, because that's working today at leading clubs. But the final member price is entirely your call, and every euro above your monthly cost is yours.
Can I try before I commit?
Yes. We offer short, deposit-based pilots so you can prove demand on your own floor before a full rollout — fully installed, supported and live for members. The deposit is credited against your plan when you continue.
How much space does it need?
About 4 m² and a standard power socket — no construction or dedicated room required. If you have no floor to spare, the Recovery Pod is a self-contained enclosure you simply plug in.
How many members can one unit serve?
A single unit comfortably handles roughly 40–50 sessions a day depending on your hours — a planning figure of around 1,400 sessions a month. The team will model your exact floor with you.
What's the lifespan of the robot?
7–10 years with regular servicing, which is included throughout. We monitor and maintain every unit remotely so it keeps performing.
How fast can you deliver?
From order confirmation, allow around 1.5 months for delivery and deployment — sometimes less when units are in stock. On-site setup typically takes a few days per unit.
Is there a long contract?
We keep terms flexible and offer short, paid pilots so you're never locked in before you've seen the demand. Your sales contact will walk through the options that fit your sites.
